Gonna start this. By the way can anyone recommend a good novel with really ruthless, scheming MC similar to RI but also good story.

Finished this 2 days ago. A bit rushed ending, final arc is πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘. But rest of novel is good. It slowly builds, doesn't make MC OP from start. Also the title is misleading, MC is not carefree because people would not let him carefree. Not at the level of RI but this fang yuan is also quite scheming and ruthless when required. Funny often times, bro has injured heaven will of a world, kill hundreds of people but then get worried in next arc about morality of stealing.

lmao good to know, have you read author other work? warlock of the magus world, I feel like you'd preferr that typa MC more, he schemes and is calculative and only does things in his favour, doesnt mind helping peope if he gets benefits, but is ruthless to people who make use of him and will kill without hesitation and mercy, the progression is also nice, it even has a sequel

This is nonsense. I'm only here for the evil mc and as always I see the writers forcing the mc to do good things. (I'm not a saint but in order to be saved I have to save the world) This is the biggest change the writers make for an evil mc. (Reverend Insanity seems to be really special) Of course it was banned.

What a ride. I had no idea that this was the guy that wrote WoMW, and while I enjoyed this, it definitely has the subtle flavor of a compromised magnum opus. There's so much care put into the first two hundred chapters that it practically drips tone and ambiance, and then it slowly sheds that deep consideration for a faster paced action oriented focus. It's a shame because the people that loved the slower paced start probably aren't as enamored with the later sections, but the people that love the more standard action focus probably won't stick through the first couple hundred chapters. I hope they keep writing, and ideally get the chance to write on their own terms, without needing to compromise on their vision. The concept was great, but things got a little messy and repetitive as time went on.

After 500 chapter something feel missing like MC only want to be stronger MC is not heroic and even ruthless sometimes but he doesn't seem to care about invasion or anything

First few 200 chapters are a bit of a slog because of the translation. But if you get past it, Plagiarist's magic will start to show.

Why is the MC named Fang Yuan? Anything but Fang Yuan. Come-on Fang Yuan is a legend in RI.

I don't know if it's the translation or the author just bad. The conversation very unnatural and low quality, the story progression just confusing. This novel give the feeling it's written by wannabe-novelist chuunibyou. I'm hoping the author will get better in writing but nope, still same until the end, no improvement. Overall low quality novel, not recommended, I give 3/10 score

boy...everything was ok until the part where he starts talking about Chinese being superior to any other country, race and blah blah blah, the world invasion part is interesting but it's tiring to read about this futile talk.

Oof, you just dropped it at the part it was getting better. It gets better and better from there. The purple eye realm is my favorite arc, then is the nine tier purgatory, Apophis arc. They are not spoilers so don't worry.

I haven't reached the arc you are talking about but mostly everyone (there are exeptions) thinks that their country is superior and what not. It's the basic "Us and Them" psychology.

I'm not included in that. Cause for me, if you think that way, you will always feels that your country is superio to others. So even if there's a better knowledge or way from other countries that can make ours successful as well. We won't even consider it because we deemed them "inferior" πŸ€—

Me too. I don't think any country is superior than the other. They are just different.
