    Honestly I'm almost done with this novel (I read all of romerus other work so I wanted to try this after putting it off for some months) that's besides the point I don't understand the hate there's some points that you just gotta turn off your brain but those moments are some of the most enjoyable I would say this novel isn't for everyone it may just be for me because I'm a caveman brain (I didn't enjoy lotm) but if you want a good read with tragedy than this is for you (to be honest even with shadow slave only vr has made me do it but this novel made me completely forget my surroundings I was so invested that I forgot what I was doing It's such a amazing novel)

    This should have the tag romance and harem, because there are many love relationships it's kinda overwhelming honestly, and slightly over the top. it's ridiculous the amount of mingling that happens between characters, like d*mn.

    im gonna start this novel tonight, here are a few key things i picked out before i do start. -the description says "the holder of the hermes system, the gatherer of souls". from what i know this isnt something hermes does, if i had to guess, itd be what thanatos does? or maybe hades. -i love everything to do with superspeed, and thats why my greatest desire of irl superpowers is the flash's speedforce, so that gets me hyped for this -the motto "speedster in a fantasy world" as well as the premise of the hermes system/greek god part give me BIG white online (novel) vibes, and that worries me since imo, white online is the worst novel ive ever read -to add to that last point, i have hope, since i get korean manhwa vibes from the description and it just seems better from the description i have hopes, wish me luck :)

      Thanatos is the God of death in Greek mythology and like any God with the title he is also a Physcopum but, Hermes is the God that is tasked with collecting all newly deceased soul and taking them to the river Styx where they are Faried across by karon as long as they can pay his fee. So yeah Hermes is literally the gather of soul in Greek mythos while thanatos is the one who decides if your time is up and you are ready to move on to the afterlife.

        The first 300 chaps were pretty bad but tolerable. Everything after made it the worst novel I’ve ever read. And yes I completed it so I’m not giving a half complete review

        Fair enough, I liked the first half but yeah I agree the second half was trash. Pacing was slow at first and i liked it but then author did that timeskip and just decided to start throwing power ups at the mc and speedrun the ending. Still tho, I liked the first half a lot so I am a bit biased.

        I mean he went from like mountain level strength to galaxy level strength in the span of 50 chapters so when a novel has a terrible ending like that it gives me even more motive to call it sh*t

      Actually this is something Hermes does. I have not ready a single chapter yet but Hermes is the one who guide mortal souls to hell. Because of his great relationship with his uncle Hades and his ability to come and go from hell as he wishes. I remember reading a book about Hermes long ago and there was an entire chapter about his first trip to hell.

      Hermes being a gatherer of souls is correct since Hermes is the one who transports souls between the underworld and the normal world. Hes more like the transport and delivery guy so he doesn't exactly "gather and keep" souls but more like gather then send over.
