simply the best, the beginning is a little slow because the author is new, and yet it is already a great web novel, the story in the first chapters was made with the last ones in mind, a sensational story 1000/10

Honestly can't understand why this novel has such a high rating. The beginning of the story is okay, minus one major point (more on that later). There is an author's note about it being too info-dumpy, but I never really found it to be so. There is definitely some janky writing early on, and while parts of the novel do get better in some ways, in other ways it actually tends to get worse. The author has a huge issue with reusing certain words and phrases way too much. As in, the same phrase will be used repeatedly 3-4 times in only a few paragraphs. This can happen multiple times per chapter. The same words will be used over and over, in every single chapter. There gets to be a point where you can basically combine a few of the more commonly repeated words/phrases, and pretty much have 80% of all fight scenes written. Just as an example, the word 'solemn. ' Everyone in the novel, at one time or another, has a solemn face. Or a solemn expression. Or looks solemn. Or the atmosphere was very solemn. There is so much solemness that there is probably a solemn singularity of solemnity that is so very solemn that nothing could ever be more solemn, he solemnly said, very solemnly, with a solemn look of solemness on his solemn face. That's only one example, and there are tons of similar ones. While it's usually not *that* hard to get past that type of thing, it's definitely evidence of poor writing in general. Once you start noticing it, it becomes very difficult to *stop* noticing it afterwards. The author could also really make use of a better spelling/grammar check. While I imagine some issues are due to formatting errors from copy/pasting the novel to this website, there are a LOT of typos and general grammatical errors throughout the story. Even in the latter half, when the author should have realistically gotten better, there are still a rather large amount. There are a number of sentences throughout that I distinctly remember having a fairly hard time trying to figure out what the author was attempting to say, because of typos - not just a letter out of place or such, but entire words likely being autocorrected to something wholly different than what they should have been. For characters, most are pretty meh. Ren is characterized fairly decently, which isn't strange considering he's the main character. Kevin, Jin, and Amanda get a fair bit, which fleshes out their characters decently - definitely not the best I've ever read for side characters, but not bad. Melissa is mostly lackluster until about 3/4 of the way through, where we get a bit more info about her. Other than those characters, most of the rest are fairly 1- or, at best, 2-dimensional. We get a little bit of characterization, but nothing major. No real backstories outside a few very small details. Many characters are picked up and seem like they'll be important, only to be thrown by the wayside within a chapter or two. Very few characters have their motivations detailed, and the ones that do are just kind of generic. We get to see a small bit of detail for one of the villains and other side characters during some short flashbacks, but even that isn't really all that much. Essentially, other than maybe 5 or 6 total characters, virtually everyone else in the novel could be replaced by a tag and not much would actually change. The story itself is okay. The start has a really nice premise, and I imagine is what tends to draw people in. About halfway through the novel, that premise is completely gone, to the point that the title no longer makes any sense. This was kind of sad, as it definitely becomes more of a generic xanxia-style story afterwards. There are, unfortunately, a couple of rather large plot holes. In particular, one early on bugs me immensely, as it has huge consequences for the rest of the story. Early on, Ren is in need of money to do all the things he needs to do, and so the author pulls out the magical "Stocks Market!" solution. Which would be great, except the author completely, totally flubs on this idea. Despite telling the readers the *exact* percentages that the stocks he'd be using decrease/increase - which would only lead to around a 344% profit under the absolute best conditions - when the end profit number is given, it ends up being over *14, 000%* profit. This is completely ridiculous. Due to this completely nonsensical amount of money that Ren somehow makes, he is able to accomplish a number of objectives that he needs to do. Unfortunately, *none* of these objectives would be actually possible with how much money he *should* have made. Many of these objectives are also directly related to future events in the story, meaning this wouldn't really be something you could just handwave away, but basically throws the entire rest of story out of whack unless you completely ignore this plot hole altogether. Don't get me wrong, a 344% profit is huge for the amount of time it takes in the story, but it is nowhere even remotely close to how much he ends up needing. This major issue then filters down to a *second* round of Magical Stock Money, which ends up being even *more* profit than the first time. The author does eventually just give up on this plot hole, with Ren eventually having more money than he'll ever need, and would almost certainly never have been actually able to obtain. Rather than give out any hard figures, there is mostly just fantasy hand-wavey background shenanigans. Definitely not spectacular writing, but by the time the story gets to that point, it's a relatively small issue compared to others. There are a few other lesser plot holes throughout, but nothing, in my opinion, nearly as large as that first one. The other fairly big issue I had, starts around 1/2-3/4 of the way through. The author does a number of things that are simply inconsistent with both the worldbuilding he's done up to that point, as well as plot points that are brought up only a short time prior. It becomes somewhat apparent that the author has an idea of where he wants certain parts of the story to go, but often seems to write himself into a corner, and has to put in these inconsistencies to try and resolve things. On their own, they aren't a huge deal - especially since by this point, the story is basically full xanxia, with all its flaws - but they do show a lack of writing polish. That being said, due to the nature of the story being a web novel, it is *somewhat* understandable. Unless one plans out nearly the entirety of the story in advance, something written in earlier chapters that have already been published doesn't always align perfectly with the way you want the story to go in the future. This means the author needs to futz around a bit with plot points, and can easily lead to these types of inconsistencies. While individually they aren't much of a problem, they did start to add up, for me, and started detracting from the story. Overall, I'd give this novel somewhere between 2 and 2. 5 stars. It's certainly not the worst novel I've read, but it's also far, far from being close to the current 4. 6 stars it's at as of the time of this review. It can be an entertaining read, but it really needs a very heavy editing pass to fix up issues. For a first-time writer, I'd say it was a decent attempt. Not great, but not horrible, and with some more writing experience and a better word processor (with a higher quality spelling/grammar checker), I could easily see a second novel being much better.

Well. . . everything was good from start to end minus 100 chapter. I don't know why but author just wrote anything coming into his head. They are not bad but just seems like unnecessary chapter and boring. But everything was superb. I mean i very much enjoyed it.

I would say this novel is a decent 7/10. Though, there is one thing I dislike in particular about the author. He (more than once) brought something up but then never brought it back up again. For example, the mercenary group was supposed to be based around the goddess of chess, with each member being a piece on the chess board. Once this was explained to us, apart from smallsnake being the bishop (babysitter) it was never mentioned again. Neither was the name of the group, which tbh I have forgotten atp. I will not mention other things he forgot as they are major spoilers whereas this is somewhat minor. I also feel like the author did not know what to do for like 100 chapters (around 650-750) and he was just writing whatever came to his head. This made those few hundred chapters extremely boring and repulsive. However, I must say that he did quite a good job at bringing back the novel together at the end to finish the story as the ending was not disappointing at all. The development of characters (especially Jin) was very enjoyable to read.

One of the best novels I've read it was a great read. Ren is a amazing protagonist. The fmc is great and I loved every part of the book she was in. The side caracters feel alive and are all pretty interesting. The author did a great job with this one

Finished this novel couple days ago, and I have to say it was an astonishing experience, loved it in every way, while the novel isn't flawless, it really gets you attached to the whole character cast, every major character has their moments and backstory, and then the MC Ren Dover, spectacular protagonist, not just a braindead overpowered mc but one who use mostly his wits and plans to succeed, reccomended 9/10

Nice novel, wanting to make a few points: the characters are nothing too alternative but they develop well, MC I would say is one of the best I've read and the narrative overall proceeds well without boring with a satisfying ending. The author definitely did a good job to the best of his ability, but he still needs to improve. All in all I would recommend it.

This used to be my favorite novel, really love all the characters, Story is good and ren is great protagonist, though ending is a bit rushed, could be up to 1500 chs but ended to early, this novel has special spot in my heart with kidnapped dragons. Some of you might find the start a bit similar to other academic novels but it gets lot better

I'll divide my ratings into 3: Chap 1-around Chap 700 = 7/10 Chap 700 onwards = 4/10 Epilogue and after stories = 9/10 Overall, it was a pretty nice read. As author said, it was his first novel and so I was pretty forgiving of a lot of minor flaws, but even with that said, author is pretty smart to make all these schemes, plot twists, and manipulations happen. I'm already excited for his future works! Cheers! Pros: •lots of scheming and plot twists •lots of satisfying battle scenes and epic lines •well-fleshed characters •no harem and really cute slice-of-life moments from time to time(romance parts are nicely teased and properly built up and Nola(at least child Nola) has universe-toppling charm) Cons: •MC was sold as a grand schemer at the start but gets manipulated left and right for about 70% of the story with him being manipulated overused as an excuse to make some plot points make sense •i'm not sure if it's typo, speech-to-text issue or whatever, but you have to play sounds-like/looks-like for a lot of words in this novel(e. g. comprised became compromised, palms became plans, undulations became adulations, etc) •some plot twist elements have been foreshadowed in a way that makes it look like a plot hole or a typo(e. g. Waylan/Oliver)(ty rereaders for clearing this up) •some actual plot holes and forced plots especially on the final arc •a lot of the drama parts just fell flat for me

Couldn't help but feeling the ending was a bit rushed, the first half was nearly perfect (i said nearly because of the red book stuff that wasn't thoroughly explained). And the second half messed up the power scalling a bit. BUT, these problems didn't make it any less enjoyable because of the complex lore and foreshadowing. Good stuff overall 👍
